Hello all,

Wednesday 7^th December 2011

Ok, I’m going to have a bit of a bitch here. I decided in the early afternoon to go in early so as to meet everyone at Eden for a bite to eat so I was well miffed when, sat in an endless queue of traffic trying to arrive early, Danni phoned. ‘Where is everyone, cos’ Eden’s closed for a private function?’ she said. Well, that was news to me, and probably everyone else that normally meet there. ‘good of em’ to let us know eh?’ was my sarcastic response. Well, it was wasn’t it??

Anyway, bitch over, after arranging to meet up first in Paddy’s Goose, we had a rather nice (if much quieter) repeat of Saturdays club meal at Villagios, just the two of us, and had a proper good gossip!!

So it was off to Concord, arriving around 8pm, to a normal club evening and a fairly relaxed and quiet affair. After greeting Millie, who had had her hair done beautifully for Renaissance the previous evening and had managed to preserve it for this evening, as you can see.

I wandered over to the bar where I bumped into Rachel shown here looking delightful and so feminine.

I have to apologise to this lovely girl in a striking purple sequin dress as I have forgotten her name, and after it took me ages to talk her into having a photo taken.......oh dear, no excuse but I promise to remember you next time.

Danni, you always take a better photo after a good bottle of red, it must help you relax eh?

I said hello to Paula, shown here twice, who said that her very supportive partner had helped her choose this little black number from Primark. A good choice I would say and it helps when you are a size 10-12 (I hate you!!!!- only kidding!).

I had bumped into Vicky, dressed very sensibly here in jeggings and a grey jumper dress, earlier at Villagios, where she too had wondered why Eden hadn’t let us know they were having a private party (ok, I said I’d done bitching-well it’s a girls prerogative to change her mind?).

The regular Lisa had finally took my hint about her black leather skirt and was wearing this little red number showing off her rather long legs-well, if you’ve got it etc.......??

It was good to meet Christine, who I caught up with later at Napoleons. She hasn’t been for a while and I was caught with her cream textured tights. Unfortunately, they didn’t show up to well in the photo.

I had noticed Mandy and Didi chatting away merrily all night and grabbed a quick photo of them here. I also caught up with Mandy in Napoleons later enjoying a dance-very unusual for her. I hope you had a good night, you certainly seemed to be when I left?

Late arrival, Cindi (with a ‘C’!!) posed gorgeously as always. You really do always look great and dress great. She explained that she always pops in whenever in Manchester on Wednesday to show her face and support for the Concord. It’s good to remember where most of us started along this path and show our appreciation for the existence of such a great transgender social and support group as is the Manchester Concord.

Next week should promise to be a rather busy affair with our Christmas buffet and Mary will be back from Brazil no doubt with many tales to tell. I’m sure we would all agree that we have missed her greatly during her absence?

Finally, a note on our Christmas meal at Villagios.

On behalf of all present, I would like to thank the staff at Villagios for delivering a wonderful meal to us last Saturday. Despite being absolutely full at the restaurant, they managed a seamless as well as excellently served meal. All the food was hot and fresh, and the crackers were a nice extra touch. Sixteen of us were there, and I took some photos as best I could (as well as with a little help from an adjoining table!) and have shown them here......................................
